Who is this “Voodoo Junction?”

Voodoo Junction's origin story starts when their home planet was facing certain destruction, and its parents decided that in order to give lil Vooodoo a chance and loaded him into a space cra… oh wait wrong origin story… let's start again.

Before Voodoo Junction came into existence, Jaimz Woodard and Jessi Cole were already laying the groundwork, performing together under the name Jessie/Jaimz with both Jessie and Jaimz each contributing their unique voice and dynamic guitar skills to a project that would ultimately become VooDoo Junction.

So… what Happened next????

Jessie/Jaimz was doing pretty well musically. They were playing shows in Mississippi and Louisiana pretty regularly, however a "band" that consists of two guitar playing/ singer-songwriters tend to have a few limitations.

After a successful show one night, our two fearless musicians got drunk enough to discuss the future of their "Band." Somewhere between Jäegermeister and Fireball (some legends say it was Jack Daniels), the idea of getting a full band together came up... and it has been said that when that idea was spoken aloud, a choir of Angels sang (just remember the guys were drunk here).

Whether or not a choir of angels sang or not... that is up for debate, regardless, Jaimz posted to a local musician classified ad looking for a drummer and bassist. What he found was the man, the myth, the Korean Legend himself (psst no he's not really Korean as far as we know)... & the man with the coolest name ever... Mr. Jude Falcon answered- and things began to look Up.

Shortly after Jude came on Board, the band found an excellent bassist, however after a couple shows the guys decided to part ways due to different musical directions, but not long after, Jaimz met a guitarist… Jared LaCoste (who coincidentally lived literally a half mile from him), and they started playing, but seeing how the band was in need of a bass player, and given the fact that Jared is a multi-instrumentalist, he became the band‘s bassist and the band started playing more and more. But unfortunately all good things must end….or must they?

Jared had to leave the band, so once again they were looking for the ever elusive Bassist… and in that search they came across one of the best Bassists ever to touch the instrument.

Originally from Honduras,and classically trained Mr. Josue Ramirez stepped in on the first practice like he had been with the guys since day 1 (This also makes the second time all the band members’ names start with the letter “J”)
